Dinamo Zagreb vs. Sevilla FC match preview

Dinamo Zagreb is hosting the Spanish team Sevilla FC on Tuesday night at the Maksimir Stadium. Dinamo has reached the Group stage of the UEFA Champions legaue after yet another dominant performance in the domestic league last season. On the other side, Sevilla (who became a specialist of winning the UEFA Europa league) has seen a lot of improvement in their Champions league appearances.

Soudani is one of those players on the hosting team that could be a threat to the visiting team on Tuesday night!!!

The hosts have only one goal on their mind, reach the Group Stage of the UCL (which they have accomplished) which brings them a lot of money. Anything besides that, if they win some points, would be considered as a huge bonus. They have never really made a bigger effort to record some major success in the Champions league. This season it is the same scenario, as they have already been defeated twice (3:0 to Lyon away, and 4:0 to Juventus at home), failing to score at least 1 goal. The departure of some key players Marko Pjaca, Marcelo Brozovic, Marko Rog and Josip Berkalo had left a huge hole in the roster, which reflected its impact on the team’s performance in both, the domestic and the continental competition. As a result, their Coach Zlatko Kranjcar was sacked and replaced by the new boss Ivaylo Petev. Despite the coaching change, the team has performed poorly, drawing against their biggest rivals Hajduk Split 0:0 at home, and recording a slim victory 1:0 over Slaven Koprivnica over the weekend. Coach Petev will not be able to count on the centre back Marko Leskovic who remains out with a foot injury, while the midfielder Arijan Ademi remains banned.

Ben Yedder and Luciano Vietto are in a great form for Sevilla in all competitions!!!

On the other side, the Spanish team Sevilla FC will look for an easy 3 points as they visit Dinamo Zagreb, which should be the easiest matchup for them in Group H. Sevilla is off to a great start after managing to keep the clean scoresheet against Juventus away in the first round, and defeating 1:0 Lyon in the second round. With a win against Dinamo Zagreb, Sevilla would be in a great situation after the first three rounds. Considering that Sevilla has won their last 4 matches from the last 5 in all competitions, losing only to Athletico Bilbao (3:1 away), Sevilla fans can rest assure that their team will aim for the victory against Dinamo, right from the get go. The Strikers Ben Yedder and Luciano Vietto will look to score early on and improve their goal sheet, since Dinamo Zagreb has become a punching bag for the strikers after only 2 rounds.

Sevillas Coach Jorge Sampaoli won’t be able to count on the goalkeeper David Soria, Adil Rami, Daniel Carrico Benoit Tremoulinas, Mickael Krohn-Dehli, and striker Carlos Fernandez.

We believe that this match should be a no brainer as to who might be the winning side when the referee blows the end of the 90 minute period. Despite the coaching change, Dinamo Zagreb will have a tough group stage competition and it will be a wonder if they manage to find the back of the net against the much tougher opponents Lyon, Sevilla and Juventus. On the other side, Sevilla will continue its battle for the Top two spots in hope to reach the next stage. In games like this, they cannot simply afford to give up easy points, so we predict a clean win of the Sevilla with at least 3 goals scored. Sevilla should also manage to keep their goal clean, not allowing the hosts to find the back of the net.

Predicted Dinamo Zagreb Lineup (4-3-3):
